Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters
Through the prophet Isaiah, God speaks to a people in exile: fear not, for I have redeemed you; you are mine. He does not promise they will avoid deep waters or fire. He promises something better: when you pass through them, I will be with you.
Isaiah 43:2
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
