Micah 5:2

A ruler from Bethlehem

Seven centuries before Jesus, the prophet Micah names a small, overlooked town: Bethlehem. Out of it will come a ruler whose origins are from of old, from everlasting. Matthew later points back to this promise when wise men ask where the newborn king is.

Micah 5:2

2 But thou, Beth–lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
